PROVENCE LODGE

Space to slow down.

The house between the garden and the Potager.

Provence Lodge is where The Shepherds Farm began, and it still carries the intimacy of that first house. Beyond the mudroom, the kitchen and library-like salon open towards a generous table and the long view south into France.

The Lodge is the hinge of the estate. Open the doors on one side and you step into the pool garden; cross the house and Walled Potager waits on the other. Lunch leaves through one door, herbs return through the other, and a day can pass between them without much of a plan.

Provence is felt rather than staged: quiet rooms, sun-softened colour and terracotta gathered over years. Painted vegetables bring the Potager indoors; upstairs, the view turns either down the valley or back up the Kemmelberg.
